The spacious 7,391-square-foot Neoclassical-style estate was built in 1905 for the commanding officer of the Charleston Navy Yard, one of the tallest in the area, and officially designated as the first-ranking officer of Naval Base Charleston. A $4.3 million renovation funded by the Redevelopment Authority has returned the Admiral's House to its former glory.
